Leading Worship with Preschoolers: Engaging Hearts Through Song
Leading sung worship with preschoolers can be both joyful and challenging! How do you engage them well? What makes a song “stick”? Can you help little ones experience true moments of worship - not just a fun singalong?
If you’ve ever wrestled with these questions, this breakout is for you. You’ll hear from a panel of preschool worship leaders who will share practical tips, creative ideas and real-life lessons from their own ministries. You’ll leave encouraged, equipped, and inspired to lead worship that connects little hearts to a big God.
Pamela Lee is married and a mother of two little boys, Noah, 7 and Jimmy, 6. She attends church at the Meeting Place and is currently serving as a pre-school worship leader. Pamela has several years of experience in worship, vocal training and working with children. One of her greatest joys is leading little ones into the presence of Jesus.
Growing up with music-loving parents and in the Prairie Rose EMC gave Gwen Peters ample opportunity to develop her music interests and areas of ministry. She has loved teaching piano, serving in the Beginner Sunday School Department since 2009, and volunteering in the church together with her husband and children.
Sheilla Taylor is the Director of Children’s Ministries at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church since 2019. Before that, she was involved in a variety of Children’s Ministry programs since she was old enough to babysit. She loves bringing the joy, fun and creativity to ministry (and isn’t afraid of a little glitter!). She is intentional about creating meaningful spaces for kids so they can learn and develop a lasting relationship with Jesus. Sheilla is married to Colin and is an active mom to 3 pretty cool kids and 2 pretty cute dogs.
